Every step of your visit,
before you book one.

First Contact
A phone call that listens before it prescribes.
We begin with a brief conversation — no intake forms, no hold music. A registered chiropodist calls you back within one business day to understand the situation: what you're noticing, how long it's been happening, and whether a home visit or clinic appointment makes more sense for your family.
Chiropodist: a regulated healthcare professional specialising in foot and lower limb conditions.

Assessment
We arrive unhurried, instruments sterilized, hands ready.
Whether at a kitchen table, bedside, or our clinic chair, the assessment is thorough and gentle. We check circulation, skin condition, nail health, and any pressure points — and we explain every finding out loud as we go. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is left unexplained.
All instruments are single-use or autoclave-sterilized between every patient, every time.

Treatment
Careful work. No shortcuts.
Thickened nails trimmed and filed to a safe length. Calluses reduced without cutting living skin. Diabetic ulcers cleaned, dressed, and documented with clinical photography. Each step follows the protocols set by the College of Chiropodists — and each step is narrated to the patient so they know exactly what's happening to their own body.
Diabetic ulcer: an open wound on the foot caused by nerve damage or poor circulation, common in people with diabetes.

Follow-Up Plan
You leave knowing exactly what comes next.
Before we pack up, we write a plain-language care plan — what we found, what we did, and when to return. If prescription orthotics, further investigations, or physician referrals are needed, we handle that coordination. Monthly visit rotations for care facilities can be scheduled in a single call.
Orthotics: custom-made shoe inserts that correct foot posture and relieve pressure on problem areas.
Four reasons people
call Stride.
Nail Care
The most common reason people call.
Thickened, curved, or ingrown nails — trimmed safely with sterile instruments, filed smooth, and assessed for fungal changes. We see nails that haven't been properly cared for in years. No judgment, just steady hands.
Diabetic Foot Check
Prevention that can prevent hospitalisation.
People with diabetes face a 25% lifetime risk of foot ulceration. Our diabetic assessment checks circulation, nerve sensation, skin integrity, and nail condition — and creates a documented baseline that your GP and endocrinologist can reference. Early findings mean early action.
Wound Management
Specialist care for ulcers and pressure sores.
Diabetic ulcers, venous leg wounds, and pressure sores cleaned, debrided if needed, and dressed with appropriate clinical products. We photograph and measure every wound at each visit — so healing progress is visible, not just felt.
General Assessment
A full picture of foot health.
For families unsure where to start. We assess gait, footwear, skin, nails, and musculoskeletal alignment — then explain what we find in plain language and recommend a care path.
In their own words.
Mum hadn't had her nails properly done in three years. She has Parkinson's and can't reach her feet, and the hospital podiatry waitlist was eight months. Stride came to her apartment within a week. The chiropodist talked her through every step — Mum was relaxed the entire time. That's not nothing.

Nail care + general assessment, home visit
I coordinate monthly visits for 34 residents across two wings. Before Stride, we were patching together three different contractors and still had gaps. Now it's one call, one schedule, consistent documentation that our nursing team can actually use. Three months in and we've had zero wound escalations.

Monthly facility rotation, wound management
My client has Type 2 diabetes and lives alone. I was worried about his feet for months but didn't know who to call — his GP kept saying 'see a podiatrist' but never said how. Stride picked up on the first try, explained exactly what a diabetic foot check covers, and had him seen in four days. He now has a care plan his GP actually referenced at his last appointment.
